Editorial standards

The rules we apply to every tracker reading, every postmortem, every scorecard row.

  1. Sheller independenceWe do not accept sheller sponsorship, ad placement, or paid content. We do not allow pre-publication review by any party named in coverage.
  2. Composite postmortems"Reject and rework" stories are composite. Variety, defect, and financial mechanics are real. Business name, location, and sheller name are scrambled. We publish only after the affected operator confirms the composite reads true.
  3. Two-source verification on scorecardsA sheller scorecard line requires at least 8 independent operator submissions before we publish a median. Below 8, "insufficient data."
  4. Price-quote precisionEvery price cited carries: variety, grade, size, form (blanched/raw/roasted), FOB vs delivered, MOQ, payment terms. No teaser rates.
  5. Not legal or food-safety adviceWe are not your food-safety consultant or attorney. We tell you what operators have signed and what's hurt them. Decisions stay with you.
  6. CorrectionsLogged at /corrections within 24 hours. Never silent edits.
  7. Author bylinesEvery piece carries an author byline + contact. Editors are listed at /about.
